So I’m Beth, and this is the blog I’ve decided to start, involving all things photography, whether that’s my images, crazy ideas or even just what I’ve been up to.
I studied Photography A-Level after loving cameras from an early age, being surrounded by the film compacts and 6×4 prints of everyday antics in the late Nineties and early Noughties as well as other inspirations I will divulge in another post.
I found as I grew up that I love people, especially after studying Psychology as well, and that quickly became apparent in my coursework, focussing mostly on Portraiture. (The only genre that was actually successful and enjoyable to me!) I love the studio and location shoots, whatever works for what I and my model want to achieve, which is where I’m very lucky by knowing lots of people who are, usually, creative and understanding to what we are working towards. (Unless it’s completely unrealistic and unachievable!)
After finishing my A Level Photography course six months ago I’ve suffered hugely with Photographer’s block, finding it hard to come up with new ideas, or even keeping motivated with a shoot. This is where this blog comes in!
I want to start it to try to keep motivated, keep my thoughts/ideas organised and also share my photo’s with anyone and everyone that’s reading this.
Please feel free to leave any feedback, advice and ideas that you think might work!
See you soon!
Beth.
Well done Beth. Photography is so rewarding and there is so much you can do with it. Always follow your passions, life can be short, enjoy every moment you can spend doing what you love and your life will be rich.
Thank you so much for that lovely comment! Very inspiring to carry on with it!
